Into The Dungeon I Go!

A few of you know that I've been waiting to share some great personal news with the GI community. Well, I'm ready to share that news with you now. You may have heard of a website called Zelda Dungeon. If you've ever been to Zelda Dungeon, it was probably for the walkthroughs and wiki. I've used them several times myself, but Zelda Dungeon also publishes news, editorials, and other features. The big news is that I am a new editorial writer for Zelda Dungeon! From now on, I'll be writing at least one Zelda-themed article a week.

First of all, I want to thank the GI community. There is no way I could have done this without you. Blogging on Game Informer never feels like a competition; instead, it feels like blogging with my fellow members of the community rather than against them. Reading your many entertaining posts encourages me to write more of my own, and Blog Herding is always a fun goal to strive for. I never feel out of place or undeserving, even when I read writing far better than my own. Again, thank you all. Thank you all for the great discussions about video games and for making staying up until 1:00 in the morning to finish a blog post something I can enjoy.

How will this affect my activity on Game Informer? Well, you can surely expect me to blog even less frequently than I already do. Do not, however, think that I will completely disappear. I'll still be on here quite frequently to participate in the community as usual, and even to publish the occasional blog post. I've been told that I am allowed to repost my Zelda Dungeon articles for you to read here, though only after they have been up on Zelda Dungeon for at least two weeks. Of course, I encourage you to check out Zelda Dungeon for yourself. Who knows? You might find something that strikes your fancy.

I thank you for a third time and want you to know this: My blogging experience here on Game Informer has been an indispensable first step in what will hopefully become a full-blown career of writing for the video game industry. I hope you will continue to read my work and support more writers like myself.
