We need more kid-friendly games

This is a topic I kind of talked about, except I focused only on blood and gore. Now I'm talking about kid-friendly games, specifically that I think we need more. Why? Because it gets a little tiresome seeing a ton of "mature" games. I'm not saying I dislike them. I'm a big fan of several mature rated games and franchises, such as Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, Titanfall, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, and many more. The list could go on much longer. So it's not "I think I'm cool because I think mature games are stupid". I'm not some hipster or anything. I'm just saying, simply put, I think we need some more kid- friendly games.

One reason why is that whenever my cousins or someone of that age comes over, I usually have to put those games away and pull out something they can play or watch. That's typically something like Minecraft or Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (pictured above). Now, I enjoy those games, but sometimes I'd rather be playing something like Titanfall or another game like that. If I had more kid-friendly games to choose from, I probably wouldn't tire of playing these games as fast (although I would probably end up playing Minecraft anyway, as my cousin loves it).

Another thing that gets annoying for me is that I can't buy most games I want, at least at Gamestop, because I'm under 18. I don't know other stores policies, but Gamestop is my preferred place to buy games, and it's annoying to require a parent to buy these games. I know I'll eventually outgrow this issue, and most people who buy video games on a regular basis already have, but it's an annoyance. But if what I'm buying is T or under, I can buy it on my own.

Mature content can also get tiresome. To keep this G rated, I'm not going to go into detail, but stuff I've heard about in games such as GTA just seems flat out unnecessary. I know some people like the game for that kind of craziness, but in my preference it just seems, like I said, unnecessary. Game like Lego City Undercover have proven you can have great open world, GTA like games, but with no obscene content.

Like I said earlier, I'm not particularly bothered by this stuff, I just kind if wished more games came out like the Lego games or Plants vs Zombies. If more games like this existed I would be happy.
