Over the last few weeks my hype level for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS has gradually increased. Now I can't wait to play them both. So I thought I'd do a run down of 5 characters I'd love to see included in a Smash Bros. game in the future. Do you agree with any of them?
Geno (Super Mario RPG)
Geno is one of the most popular requests for Smash Bros., and after playing Super Mario RPG for the first time earlier this year I now understand why. Geno kicks ass, meaning he'd be a great addition to a series where all the characters do just that to each other. Getting him would require the permission of Square Enix, but please make this happen Nintendo.
Mallow (Super Mario RPG)
Mallow is the small, cute cloud-thing who thinks himself to be a tadpole. Clearly intelligence isn't his strong point. But Mallow's naive nature and unintended humour made him a great character, and as a result I'd love to see him included in the roster for a future game. Just remember, he will NOT cry!
Ridley (Metroid)
Ridley is basically a bad-ass dragon who has come back from the dead more times than I can remember. 'Nuff said.
King K. Rool (Donkey Kong)
Bowser represents Super Mario. Ganondoft represents The Legend of Zelda. If Nintendo's two heaviest hitters have their main villains in the roster then surely Donkey Kong can too! Actually getting King K. Rool, much like Geno, would require legal work between Nintendo and Microsoft, as Rare, who created King K. Rool, are now owned by the American corporation. The chance of Microsoft allowing Nintendo to use a character they own is slim, but it'd be great if they did.
Hershel Layton (Professor Layton)
I'm not quite sure how Nintendo would incorporate Hershel Layton in to a fighting game. but I'd sure as hell like to seem them do it. Professor Layton was arguably my favourite new IP of the seventh generation, so seeing the normally calm and collected mystery solver join the fight alongside Nintendo's veterans would be pretty sweet.
Honourable Mention: Wart -- Wart needs some love. Come on Nintendo, add him to the roster too.
