The story of spiderweb starts off with eddie haines going to meet his agent. After arriving in L.A. three months earlier eddie needs to find work, And he will take what ever he can get. After leaving his agent's office eddie meets the professor. The professor offers eddie everything his ever wanted money, Power and women. And all eddie has to do is change his name and become a psychic. After a few months of living the good life, Eddie starts to suspect that something is very wrong. And after the first dead body shows up, He knows nothing is as it seems. One mans dream of getting rich quick slowly becomes another mans nightmare, That he can't escape.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                The novel starts off very straight-forward, And slowly becomes more and more complicated. Almost like a spiderweb. Spiderweb is a very intense and entertaining novel that will hold your intention up to the very last page. Spiderweb is also a pretty short novel, Only 160 pages long and originally published in 1954. Spiderweb is a crime thriller. The characters are all very interesting and they have their motives set very early on. Eddie haines the hero of the novel just wants to become rich and famous, Whereas the professor has much darker and sinister motives. I don't really have anything bad to say about spiderweb, It's a tense and entertaining novel that has a lot to offer. After all it was written by the same the guy that wrote psycho. Overall, If you're looking for a novel with some with some twist you won't see coming and a bit of a dark side, Spiderweb may just be for you.
