Ten Games to Play When You're Mad

We all have that one game we3 play when we are angry, or when we feel the surge of rage course its way through our veins. Some more careless people brake things. Other more civilized folk just play video games. Here are a list of ten games I suggest you should play when you are mad. These games are not listed in any specific order.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Ah, “The New Order”. If you have not played id and Bethesda’s latest reboot of the classic first-person shooter then go pick it up or borrow it from a friend. It’s worth your time and your money. Its fast paced action, satisfying gun recoil, graphic dismemberment, and dual-wield-everything gameplay is reason enough to let all your anger out on the global Nazi government. Watching each bullet grotesquely leave its mark inside each baddie never returns your lust for blood void.

Grand Theft Auto V

Speaking of violence, do I really need to explain Grand Theft Auto to any person who calls himself or herself a gamer? The fun in Grand Theft Auto V is endless. It is one of those go-to games that is either always inside your console or is inserted into your console at least once a day. Whether you are instigating the wrath of the ever-present Los Santos Police Department, lighting up your friends in a deathmatch, recklessly weaving through traffic on the freeway, or stealing a fighter jet from Fort Zancudo there are more than enough was to relieve your anger through means of virtual civil unrest.

Call of Duty

This one’s 4 the pro-MLG CoD gamrs in dis GIO site. If u like reking n00bs, drinking leeters of MTN DEW, nuking loozers, and 720 no skoping wannabe gangstas  from across tha map tthen play call of duty. It also haz custum skinz for your guns and smexy emblems and… I can’t do this anymore.

We all know the name. We all say we hate the game, yet it sells millions of copies every year, but hey, that’s none of my business. Regardless, for some, Call of Duty is the perfect place to vent on people you may never meet by showing your skill with the gun or your skill with how many swear words you can use in one insulting sentence. I do not condone the belittlement of others, but some of you people “just can’t help it”.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I’m not sure if any of you saw this coming. Say what you may about it, but I loved this game simply because of how it made the player actually feel in control of the Force. Force push, repulse, lighting, are just a couple of abilities you wielded against your practically helpless enemies. Far be it from a Jedi like YOU to use your anger as a source of power. You wouldn’t do that, would you? Lest you forget, according to the Holy Star Wars Bible, once you use your anger as a source of power you are automatically a dark lord of the Sith. Who am I kidding? Of course you would use that anger to your advantage! It’s so much more fun and satisfying that way!

Mortal Kombat

Get over here so I can separate your spine from the rest of your body! Face it. You love ripping people in half, incinerating them, relinquishing them of their skin, or punching a hole in there chest in the literally-still-kicking Mortal Kombat franchise. I don’t think there is any other more gratifying way to end a match fueled by your own rage than performing the trademark Fatality. Finish Him!

Minecraft

I don’t know about you, but I love getting creative. A game like Minecraft is great for letting your creative juices flow, especially when you are upset.  The serene atmosphere accompanied with an equally relaxing score is a necessary setting to let your creativity translate in the way that you see fit. Build a farm, build a city, grow a forest, build a village, burn it down, burn everything. Destroy. Everything…

Dead Rising

I don’t know which is better; the endless supply of dead people to “rekill” or all the different makeshift weapons you get to do it with. Between this and every other zombie game out on the market, I choose this one. I mean, at least most of zombies you kill aren’t that fast.

Any WWE/WWF game

You’ve just been invited to beat up all your favorite wrestling heroes in Wrestlemania, bother! I’ve been in that place. We all have been place where we want to just grab the offender and “RKO” them to the ground. Or better yet, a choke slam or “DDT”. Although I have never owned a single wrestling game in my life, I never pass up the opportunity to play whenever offered. Most of my middle-school days consisted of talking about the WWE or acting it out in our way-too-frequent free-day gym classes. Believe me, it’s a good outlet to release anger, especially in a Royal Rumble match. Punch. Everyone.

The Sims

You know you’ve tried it. You’ve tried to rain down the wrath of your anger on your poor Sim by building up your Sim’s dreams only to tear them down at your will. Despite how great your real life is going you take a cynical joy in making your Sim’s life miserable whether you cause him/her to be hated by all, lose the ability to cook, or even kill off his/her dog (you monster). Just pray your ways won’t come back to bit you in the butt…

Burnout

It could have been a contender. It could have been somebody! What am I talking about? I’m talking about how awesome Burnout could have been last generation (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360). Yes, I’m aware of Burnout: Paradise, but that franchise deserved at least one more entry after that (no, Burnout Crash! does not count at all…).

ANYWAY, remember the good ‘ol days when Burnout was the game to play? Takedown mode, Crash mode, the cars, the fact that Burnout: Dominator had Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend”-and in a few different languages; ah, the nostalgia. What better way to express your anger than road-raging your way through the tracks of Burnout? In Takedown mode your prime objective was to take down a certain number of rival racers. Taking down rivals extended your time. In Crash mode (the best mode), your goal was to wreck as many cars as possible while also causing the most expensive “accident” possible. Who wouldn’t want to wreck their car into other people’s cars without the real-world consequences?

Hopefully, this list has encouraged you to either try something new Or this list has discouraged and ANGERED you because a title you thought should have been on this list wasn’t.
