This mini series is mainly going to be me talking about game specifics that I like and feel like sharing and sharing Pokemon information that I find. I am also going to mention who to talk to where in order to get extra items or Pokemon. That all being said I will do a review when I am done with the game on my youtube channel and will link to the youtube video on the last part of the series. So let's get this mini series started! Oh wait before I begin there will be limited pictures because I will be focused on playing the game so much I know I'll forget to take pictures.

The pokemon Professor for this game is Professor Juniper who starts off by telling you the same thing all the games tell you that this is a world of pokemon and showing you one pokemon. She shows a Minccino (spelling?). Of course I chose to be a girl (this has no effect on the storyline so it really don't matter) and named my character Isabele to go along with my gamer name (Isabele Kuran). This game starts with the storyline of having 2 best friends while the other games have you have 1 rival up to this point so I look forward to this interesting aspect. Our best friends are Cheren, who is a boy known to be difficult but is very honest, and Bianca, who is a girl known for being a little flighty but works very hard. So our friends are a nerd and a dunce, oh yippee. Some funny scenes are bound to happen.

The gameplay starts in Autumn, so it has a season aspect as well. :D After a late Bianca shows up I finally get to choose my pokemon out. The choices are Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawott. I happen to love water type Pokemon so I'm going Oshawott for this runthrough. :D Bianca then took Tepig and Cheren ended up with Snivy. Honestly I think the personalities of the pokemon match up in this case. If you are interested in what I named them I named the pokemon their names will be their last evolution's Japanese counterpart name so for Oshawott it's last evolution is Samurott who is known as Daikenki in Japanese so my Oshawott is named Daikenki. :D The rest of this mini series will be specifically the items and pokemon info now.

Oshawott starts out Level 5 with 2 moves: Tackle and Tail Whip. Tackle is basically  hitting the other pokemon and Tail Whip lowers the other pokemon's defense. At level 7 it learns Water Gun.

The first four items are storyline related, first when you go down the stairs in your character's home your character's mom will give you a Xtransceiver which allows video calls up to a 4-way connection. The second item is the Pokedex of course :D Then once you leave the lab to go after the professor to learn about catching pokemon your character's mom will give you a town map which basically is the map of the Unova region. Once you get to route 1 Professor Juniper will show you how to catch pokemon and then give you poke balls.

I caught a Lillipup on Route 1 at Level 4 (named it Mooland the Japanese equivalent for Stoutland it's final evolution) and it starts with 2 moves: Tackle and Leer. Leer does the same thing Tail Whip does, it lowers the other pokemon's defense. At level 5 it learns Odor Sleuth, using this move will enable Ghost type pokemon you are fighting to be hit with Normal and Fighting type attacks; it also enables an evasive target to be hit. It's more of a strategic type move basically. At Level 8 it learned Bite which is just what it sounds like your pokemon bites the other pokemon, and what is cool is it can make the other pokemon flinch and not be able to fight back.

I caught a Patrat on Route 1 at Level 4 (named it Miruhog the Japanese equivalent for Watchdog it's final evolution) and it starts with 2 moves: Tackle and Leer. At level 6 it learns Bite. At level 8 it learns Bide, this move allows your pokemon to take damage 2 turns then double the damage amount taken to hit the other pokemon with.

The next item you can get is to talk to the (i'm guessing) girl in the grass she will give you a Potion.

Allow me to mention something I am loving about this game as I am playing it. The organization is cool for the moves you go under the pokemon summary to organize it. Also I like how you finally can carry 6 pokemon at the same time unlike in other games that make it 5 (I always felt it was cheating me).

In Accumula Town at the top of town there is 2 house developements(if you ignore the stairs) the one on the left on the 2nd floor/top floor straight down is a guy he gives away a pokeball to you when you talk to him :D Also as soon as you get done w/ the pokemon center tour check your PC and you will have mail take and read it, erase or keep your choice, you will then have thank you mail in your inventory.

Once you are ready to leave town and are done with storyline stuff in Accumula town enter Route 2 once you take a few steps your character's mom will track you down and give you Running Shoes which make the game much easier to get around in since you will no longer walk like a slow snail. It seems you can run inside buildings now too. :D

The first patch of grass on Route 2 has a Potion in the middle of it. After the 2nd patch of grass head to the right and go up the steps and go down there are 2 items: a potion and a poke ball.

After intense searching I found and caught a Purrloin on Route 2 at level 4 (named it Lepardas which is the Japanese equivalent for it's final evolution as Liepard). It starts with Scratch and Growl. Scratch is what it sounds like the pokemon uses it claws to scratch the other pokemon, growl lowers the attack of the other pokemon. At level 6 it learns Assist which is where the pokemon will choose a random move available from any of the move lists of pokemon currently in your possession.

When you first get to Straiton City go left down the little narrow path there is a X Speed at the end of it. Then the first house you can enter on the right talk to the guy on the right on the 1st floor and you will get a Great Ball. Go in the Pokemon Training School and inside the main room of it on the right all the way back before you get to Cheren is a kid talk to him and answer his quiz correctly and you will get a Full Heal. The answers to the quiz are easy for those familiar with Antidote, Awakening, and Paralyze Heal. If not familiar with those read the first three status condition informations on the blackboard in the far back of the room. Oh and Cheren if you talk to him will battle you in case you didn't know, the point being is afterwords Cheren will give you Oran Berries :D

Of course it would be smart to go to the Dreamyard first but I decided to enter in to the Gym so....
When you enter the gym you will get a Fresh Water from the guy who says he is the guide for the gym. Now to proceed through the doors you choose the element that element on the curtain would be weak to so to make an example I'll give you the first one fire is weak to water so you would step on the water since fire is on the curtain. After almost getting my butt kicked by the second side trainer.. i mean waiter in the gym I left it to go to the Dreamyard.

More tomorrow in the next blog post of the Pokemon White Mini Series! :3
I hope you enjoyed this rather informative Part 1 of the Mini Series, let me know what you think in the comments below and thank you for reading! :D
