Thinking back to all the games iv'e played on the 360 there are a few that stand out as being my most played games. Exploring open worlds, completing side missions in single player campaign and killing friends in online Multiplayer are the things gamers look forward when waiting on long lines in front of Gamestop at midnight. Idk about the rest of the gaming world but heres a list of my top five time sinks.
#5 Batman Arkham Asylum
After the initial shock of realizing how good this game is i couldn't put it down. I think people everywhere can vouch for why this game is one of my biggest time sinks. From the Riddlers puzzles to uncovering the history of arkham to bringing down the joker this game has alot of content you can sink your teeth into.
#4 Borderlands
The diversity of enemies in this shooter make the game worth playing again and again, along with loot drops and a rewarding weapon proficiency system. The fact that it plays as an open world and has a load of side quest is another reason i can play it for hours on end. Some things that are annoying about this game is that it gets pretty glitchy at times and the fight for your life feature to me is annoying.
#3 Gears of war
This was the first game ive ever played on a 360 and immediately became a fan of the series. The reason why its my biggest time sinks is because its the first and only game i had for a time so i beat the campaign about 5 times. From beserker, to krill and general ram theres alot of memorable moments in this game culminating with the detonation of the light mass bomb.
#2 Red Dead Redemption
Rockstar games obviously delivers in this western that plays like a Clint Eastwood infused version of GTA. The campaign is interesting taking you from the Great Plains, where modern society is just taking grip to Mexico, where you play a part on both sides of the revolution in an attempt to get information about your bounties. Hunting and skinning grizzly bears and wolves selling them for money at Manzania post in tall tree and hog tying criminals putting them in front of a moving train are my favorite features in this games.
