Three-hundred and sixty-five days ago, a battle was brewing. A battle between a teenager, a Nicholas Cage Pokemon, a glitch, a crazy chef, and something with tigershorts...I don't really know what those are, but it was a great fight. What was this brawl about, you may ask? It was when Tim Gruver, Saturday Morning Replay, Xl9, ParadigmtheFallen, and myself participated in the very first All Smashed Up. Created by Tim Gruver, it was a tournament where we each created our own original/inspired character to duke it out in an arena like no other. Well, by "duke it out" I mean we submitted our entries and whoever won in each random paring was decided by the other fighters. It was a lot of fun at the time...especially because I won. With my original character, The Hero of Destiny, I pummeled the other contenders to take the top spot, as decided by my fellow bloggers. So...let's make that happen again, shall we? Last year, my characters as known as "The Hero of Destiny", and was a sword wielder who also had magic attacks, sort of like the recently revealed Robin. This year, however, my character is someone completely different, albeit similarly designed and with similar attacks...in one form at least. This year my entry is an original character I have known as Troy Desereth. He looks like he's cut from the same cloth as The Hero of Destiny, but things are a bit more...amped up this time.
Character Name: Troy Desereth
Description: A lone wanderer who was dealing with the loss of a loved one when he received a pair of headphones known as the Harmonizers. Wearing them lets him use various weapons and also imbues him with great strength and abilities. Before the battle begins he can choose a track to listen to while fighting that will dictate which of his three available forms he will assume. While his forms are different for his normal fighting style, his final smash and taunts are the same across all three. Also, his Smash attacks are the same across all three, except for what element is dispersed
Form I: Anger (Fire, Burn My Dread -Last Battle-)
Description: This form channels Troy's inner rage. He wields a sword formed of red light and his Smash attacks are formed out of fire. This is his most balanced form in terms of speed and power.
A-Horizontal Swipe
AA-Backhand Horizontal Swipe
AAA-Roundhouse Kick (deals Knockback damage)
Down A-Quick jab to the left and then right
Side A-Charges a powerful swipe
Up A-Throws sword upward; immobilized for two seconds while it comes back down
Dash A-Leaps forward with flaming sword before collapsing on ground
Form II: Somber (Water, An Earnest Desire of Grey)
Description: When he's down in the dumps, Troy uses only his fists for combat. His movement is lightning-quick, at the expense of being weaker. His Smash attacks are water based.
A-Quick jab
AA-Second jab
AAA-Roundhouse kick
Down A-Shrugs because he doesn't know what punching the ground will do
Side A-Charges up a powerful punch
Up A-Leaps upward with one fist
Dash A-Leaps forward as though flying with fists outstretched
Form III: Vivacity (Darkness, Transformation)
Description: In his most powerful form, Troy wields a bright purple hammer, which is as tall as him. While it has the longest reach of any melee weapon in Smash Bros., it is incredibly slow compared to most other fighters. When he wields it correctly, though, it can be a devastating weapon. His smash attacks use a dark purple substance that is like darkness.
A-Horizontal swipe, hammer transfers to other hand
AA-Sends out a kick, very briefly stuns the enemy
AAA-Second swipe, more powerful than the first.
Down A-Brings hammer down to ground, pushes out a knockback wave
Side A-Throws self with hammer forward
Up A-Shoves hammer upward
Dash A-Throws hammer forward; must be retrieved
Smash Attacks:
Smash-Does a Hadouken-like attack
Up Smash-Charges, then launches with power (a la Fox's Up Smash)
Side Smash-Punches with power, dazes foe temporarily
Down Smash-Pushes out a wave of power
Final Smash-A large titan known as The Destroyer appears, wielding a giant Katana. It moves around the battlefield and deals three times the power that Troy has, and stays on for twenty seconds.
Grab-takes headphones off, slams them on opponents head, keeps them clamped there
Grab-Attack-makes music louder, also clamps harder
Throw-does a spin, throws far away-damage determines how far
Ledge Attack-pulls self up, does a low swipe with equipped weapon
Taunt 1-Stares off into the distance
Taunt 2-Kicks a rock
Taunt 3-Fiddles with VLR watch on arm
Win-Holds hand up so covering face
Loss-Stares off, eyes covered in darkness
